What's new for 2025 in the Ford Maverick?

The 2025 edition of the Maverick will unveil a new performance-focused Lobo model that's powered by a 238-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, an all-wheel drive system and a seven-speed automatic transmission. The Lobo trim will have a lowered suspension, 19-inch rally-inspired wheels and enhanced brakes. The rest of the 2025 Maverick pickup line will come with refreshed styling that includes darkened headlamp covers, a redesigned front grille and new wheel designs.

A larger 13.2-inch infotainment screen replaces the smaller 8.0-inch display and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone compatibility will be a standard feature. The hybrid powertrain will offer Salem OR buyers an available all-wheel drive system and a model that's equipped with the towing package can pull a maximum of 4,000 pounds. The 2025 Maverick will offer a newly available 360-degree camera along with a rear camera system that makes it easier to hitch up a trailer.

Powertrains and performance options

The entry-level Ford Maverick engine will be a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that's good for 238 horsepower and it's teamed up with an eight-speed automatic. The Maverick can also be equipped with an available hybrid powertrain & built with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor to deliver a combined total of 191 horsepower. The hybrid model is equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission and Stayton, OR buyers can select either front- or all-wheel drive.

The all-new Lobo model will have a turbo-four engine and all-wheel drive as well as a seven-speed automatic equipped with paddle shifters for more driving engagement. The Lobo comes with upgraded brakes and a special Lobo driving mode that lets the rear end drift when you're coming out of a corner.

The interior

Every model in the 2025 Ford Maverick lineup will be a crew cab so it will have four doors and a back seat. The Maverick will have a generous number of storage cubbies and bins strategically positioned around the cabin including some bigger ones located under the rear seat. Even lower trims have appealing features like adjustable lumbar support for the front seats, a tilting and telescoping steering wheel and remote keyless entry.
